Northern Vermont Winter Mornings

On every trip to Vermont to visit David’s family, I love to sneak away for a few hours in Stowe. It’s a moment to have some time to ourselves and chat over breakfast from Black Cap Coffee. I’ve been here a few times and all of their lattes incredible, but the Funky Monkey with oat milk really won me over! On a side note, definitely don’t skip the Sunrise Gouda breakfast sandwich. Local Vermont cheese just has a way of making everything taste better!
After breakfast, we strolled along Main Street into the darling little boutiques. The Country Store on Main is full of beautiful home goods. I daydream of someday owning our own ski home and outfitting it with everything this store has to offer. Other favorite shops that you can’t miss are Shaw’s General Store for cozy clothing and Stowe Mercantile for all of your Vermont kitchen must haves! We rounded out our morning with chocolates and warm apple cider from Laughing Moon Chocolate, a favorite of the Kennedy family!
