Let me tell you about the other night! On Thursday, I got to attend my first event as an NYC blogger and it couldn’t have been with a more fitting company. Erin Condren launched their #ECSQUAD campaign at the Flour Shop in Soho and it was the perfect little soiree. Their mission is to help inspire “Designing A Life You Love” with customizable planners and notebooks to help you get started on your goals. There was cake, bubbly, and mingling with some of the sweetest girls from around the city. Positivity was the name of the game! I also got a huge kick of being able to really identify and introduce myself as a blogger living in the Upper East Side!
The highlight of the night was meeting Erin Condren herself! Let me tell you, she’s an absolute doll and was so inspirational. Her message was simple. You need to keep working towards your goals, no matter the set backs, no matter the detours, you have to keep going. It’s not easy managing both a classroom of 29 1st graders in my 9-5 PLUS a style & travel blog in my 5-9. The ‘Orange to Apple’ team also have an additional project that we’re exploring. All I can say is, if only there were more hours in the day! It’s important to find a way to stay organized!
I’m what you would probably call a “planner-phile.” I keep multiples each year for the different avenues of my life: personal, blogging, teaching… Sometimes, I’ll just buy a new planner for the thrill of it and spend time rewriting important dates and ideas (in only the prettiest pens of course). Did I mention there would never be anything wrong with my old planner? I would just be looking for something new and a new planner is the best way for me to go about that. I’m by no means an organized person, but you would never know that by my planners!
I’ve been using an Erin Condren Teaching Planner for the past 3 or 4 years. The set up is exactly what my brain needs to keep track of all the things that a teacher has to juggle. Probably not as important, the covers are completely customizable in as many designs as you can probably think of. This year, since my classroom is on the nautical side, I opted for clean Navy and White stripes with a Kelly Green heart in the middle, but if I want a new design I can just order a new cover and swap. It’s perfect for the different holidays and seasons.
I also have my blog planner, for this I use the Erin Condren Petite Planner Bundle. The most important feature is that each day has it’s own page for me to jot down outfit/post ideas, photo locations, and keep notes on what tags or hashtags to use. There’s 4 planners total, one for each quarter, which is great to help think of my blog as the business I want it to be. If companies think in terms of quarters, why shouldn’t I?
If you are looking for a way to help stay organized and add a little splash of happiness to your day, Erin Condren is definitely the way you want to go. With so many products to choose from for all organization styles and needs, the skies the limit! How will you stay organized?
Love from NYC,
Katie
