Welcome to Friday! Now that we’re back in our home, I truly look even more forward to our weekends. With this perfect Florida weather, we’ve been spending nearly every evening al fresco in our backyard. Dinners, cocktails, music, it’s quickly becoming my favorite place to unwind after the workday. As the days are heating up, I’m looking for my “next” drink of the summer season. A little ongoing trend with my family is that I always recommend a new favorite drink. Since I wouldn’t call myself a mixologist by any means, they are always easy to make, refreshing, and delicious. So, without further ado, let me introduce you to my drink of Summer 2021: Rosé Water!
What is Rosé Water?
Talking about Rosé is nothing new. It’s been a fan favorite for what seems like years. Rosé Water is a slight twist on a classic summer beverage. This refreshing combination of Dry Rosé wine from Bordeaux and sparkling water is the perfect summer sipper. It boasts only 69 whopping calories and a total ABV of 4.9%. With nothing artificial added, you can really feel good about this drink. In fact, 5% of all profits from Rosé water is donated to the Cape Fear River Watch, a non-profit that is dedicated to keeping the Cape Fear River in North Carolina clean. I always appreciate it when a company makes the active choice to give back.
Why You’ll Love It!
Seriously, what’s not to love about Rosé? As soon as you open Rosé Water and pour in a favorite glass with strawberry garnish, you’ll be struck by the bright pink color. It’s effervescent and tastes delightful, as all great Rosés should be. You’ll love it because for all of these reasons and then some! I’ve honestly really been looking forward to my weekends where I can relax outside in the warm Florida sun. Oversized sunhat, of course, is optional.
How Can I Dress It Up?
Rosé Water is a sipper that you can open up and enjoy all on its own. Still, I know how fun it is to dress up a drink, making a brand new cocktail. It’s so easy with Rosé Water. The possibilities are endless. An obvious solution would be to use it as a base for a delicious and low-calorie sangria. Adding berries and watermelon would make it perfect for the upcoming summer months. As I was playing around, I realized my favorite combination was simply adding a splash of lemonade. The splash of citrus, with strawberry garnish, makes it an easy cocktail to serve on a hot Florida day.
For my Floridian friends and you want to try this sipper out for yourself, definitely make a stop at Trader Joe’s. Wine seltzers may be the next frontier for summertime drinks and I’m so happy to have one that is refreshing and honestly tastes delicious! You may even feel tempted to have an impromptu backyard soiree for yourself.
Love from Florida,
Katie
