Over the weekend I had the best time getting ready to celebrate the holiday’s at my husband’s office party. It was something I had been looking forward to and it was great to mingle with his co-workers. The location was incredibly unique. What looked like your average building lead to an underground event space that was originally built as a part of the subway tunnel.

My outfit of the night was this little number from H&M. I had been stressing for weeks over what to wear, but was so happy to finally find this dress in one of the most obvious of places. Because there were a lot of gals in black and red, I felt like I could stand out in this gorgeous shade of emerald green with a little lace design on the sleeves. More importantly, this dress was comfortable and just my style!

For accessories, I pretty much stuck with the essentials. My gold bauble earrings from Tuckernuck have already made quite a few appearances this holiday season and I finally realized that this tortoise clutch from Tuckernuck had an extremely handy strap to match! I rounded out with my surprisingly comfy black heels from Steve Madden to give this holiday look a slight 60’s mod vibe.

I’ve been loving on this dress so much, I even decided to wear it to work today. Obviously, I skipped the statement earrings and sky-high sandals and traded for my fleece-lined tights from Anthropologie and black Chelsea boots from Thursday. Instantly, those two pieces seamlessly bring this ‘going-out’ dress into the light of the work day.

Because this gorgeous color is just too good to keep to myself, I rounded up my favorite holiday green dresses for you to wear to your next holiday party and beyond. Will this dress make another appearance in 2019? Only time will tell!

Over the past few months, I have grown a deep love for all things tweed! Don’t get me wrong, it has always been one of my favorite fabrics, but it has taken on a whole new level of appreciation this winter. I’ve been spying it around town and in many store fronts this season, but I completely understand why! The fabric is warm and comes in a whole rainbow of colors to help you make a statement against the sea of (mostly) black ensembles.

I think my favorite way of sporting a little bit of tweed is with a fun mini skirt and this pick from LOFT is the prime example! Not only is the bright maroon color perfect for the everyday look, but the subtle flecks of silver make it a great New Years Eve option too!

Whether you are dressing for a party or a more casual affair, this black sweater from J. Crew Factory is a great add-on! My go-to black booties from Thursday and some fleece-lined tights from Anthropologie help me stay warm during the winter, despite it being close to freezing outside. This floppy black hat from Nordstrom isn’t really for warmth, but I just loved how artsy I felt. It really brings together the whole outfit.

Silver and gold is the probably the most iconic New Years Eve color combo and I am simply in love! Almost all of my jewelry is yellow gold and it’s increasingly rare that I add anything silver to my rotation. That all changed when I saw this pair of silver glittery heels from ASOS. The classic, cap-toe detail is my one of my styles for a heel and it makes for an amazing Chanel dupe. The trickiest thing, though, I had to find the perfect outfit to pair with my new, twinkly heels.

This metallic striped turtleneck sweater from J. Crew is the answer. With alternating stripes of silver and gold, it makes for a festive and effortless top to wear this holiday season. Throw on with your favorite pair of jeans or pants, like these J. Crew black dress pants, and you are party ready in just seconds. It’s surprisingly soft, but still warm, and I can’t wait to wear it again for a casual New Year’s Eve.

As an added bonus, what should I find around the corner from where I was taking pictures? It was just the most fabulous hot chocolate stand in town, parked in front of the Guggenheim! To celebrate their newest pop-up, Chanel surprised the neighborhood with hot cocoa on a cold day in the cutest little cart. Honestly, this is why I love living in NYC, you never know what you’re going to run in to!
