Ringing in the new year brings a new sense of optimism and a batch of goals. 2018 left me feeling so fortunate and blessed, but I’m trying to keep a growth mindset for the future. In particular, I want to see this blog and my social media influence continue to grow. To give you a sense of what that means to me, here’s a quick recap on my specific goals for 2019.
1. Enter the YouTube World
This little goal is probably going to be the most ambitious, requiring a new computer and a lot of equipment. When we live in such a visual society why limit what I’m trying to share to just one frame? This is going to be a very gradual process, but I can’t wait to start on this journey.
2. Be more consistent on IG and blog posts.
Sometimes, life gets in the way. Sometimes, I feel so swamped with my 9-5 job or just too tired to post when I want to. When all is said and done, I know those days (or weeks) I decided not to post really didn’t change much. This is just a personal goal to hold myself more accountable and more engaged with my audience. That being said, expect new blog posts Monday through Saturday, by 9 am!
3. Land More Sponsored Posts
In 2018, I felt like I landed the jackpot when I was able to work with Talbots on a few sponsored posts during the Fall. I want to keep that feeling going into the new year and work with even more brands that I know and love. Always a traveler at heart, I would also be over the moon if this little blog could get me on a press trip to somewhere new and wonderful!
4. Hit the Magic 10K on Instagram
Although I am so proud of my following , this seems to be the secret magic number out there in the social media world. While getting to this number feels like it’s out of my control, I will strive to bring you content that you need and enjoy. My audience is what this blog is all about and if you like what you see, please be sure to share with a friend!
Well, that’s it! Four little goals that could take me all year (or way more) to reach. None of these are possible without your continued support and I hope that 2019 is your best year yet!
Love from NYC,
Katie
