As the leaves began to change, we decided to bring in the fall season with a trip to the historic Omni Mount Washington Hotel in Bretton Woods, New Hampshire. Nestled in the heart of the White Mountains, this hotel is a stunning destination any time of year, but it’s especially magical in the fall. A scenic drive through Franconia Notch brought us to the hotel, where the crisp air and autumn colors greeted us warmly.
This iconic hotel dates back to 1902 and was a luxurious retreat for wealthy travelers during the Gilded Age. Known for its grand architecture and breathtaking mountain views, it has hosted dignitaries and notable figures throughout the years. Today, it remains a sought-after destination for those looking to experience a bit of New England history, as well as unparalleled natural beauty.
For this special day of brunching and enjoying the fall foliage, I opted for a simple yet cozy outfit. My black turtleneck sweater from J.Crew was a favorite purchase from last year, and it’s back again this season. Its thick knit and high neckline keep you warm while still looking polished. I paired it with dark frayed jeans and classic black flats to keep the look casual yet stylish.
One of my essentials for this outing was my round black crossbody bag, which added a structured touch to the look while being practical for walking around the grand veranda of the hotel. There’s nothing quite like sipping coffee on a cool fall morning with views of the surrounding mountains.
Love from New Hampshire,
Katie
