After months and months of admiring warm shades of chocolatey brown, I’ve finally taken the plunge. Maybe it’s because of my brown locks or because I focus more on navy and black, but wearing brown just seemed sort of blah. Sure I love a great camel, but anything in too dark of a shade that matched my hair seemed uninspiring. Well, I think my song is finally beginning to change, and it’s all thanks to this sweater from English Factory.Â
While on a coffee run in idyllic Greenwich, Connecticut, I decided to unveil my new sweater for the first time. Perfectly oversized and incredibly soft, I just felt so cozy. It’s the kind of sweater you want in every color to wear all winter long. On this particular day, the frigid New England temperatures were just beginning to let up, and I actually thought, “Could spring really be coming soon?” As a moment of celebration and rebellion, I paired my new sweater with my go-to white jeans from J. Crew (sized up to fit the baby bump). Mixing and matching even more shades of tans and browns, I added my Sarah Flint ballet flats and brown croc handbag from Neely and Chloe for good measure.
While sipping a decadent vanilla oat latte from CFCF, I couldn’t help but feel that I totally looked the part. Heck, I even matched the to-go cup. Better still, this new favorite sweater even effortlessly fits my ever-growing baby bump. At 31 weeks, that’s no easy feat, but there’s still plenty of room for weeks 32 through 40… Well, hopefully!
Love from Connecticut,
Katie
