Gift Guide: Little Boys
Blouse || Pants (similar) || Heels || Handbag || Earrings
Earlier this week, I posted about a gift guide for little girls and I think it was an instant hint! Especially if you don’t have kids of your own yet, it can be really difficult to know how to shop for them during the holidays. Since I work with kids on a daily basis, you could say I have a little bit of an inside scoop. So now, let’s move on to the boys. Although they can seem a little more straight-forward, it’s still important to emphasize exploration and fun. Here’s my version of a (tech free) gift guide for boys.
J. CREW Tuxedo T-Shirt
Do you know a kid who hates to dress up, even for church or special occasions? Shoot, I now adults who are still the same way. Grab this hokey J. Crew tuxedo t-shirt and I can almost guarantee it will make for a good compromise when dressing the boys in the morning.
THAMES & KOSMOS Giant T-Rex Skeleton Kit
I can’t think of one kid out there who isn’t even a little fascinated with dinosaurs. The recent Jurassic Park comeback can take all of the credit. This T-Rex skeleton kit will be an instant hit. It also includes a book of facts to make this a secretly educational activity.
SOPHIE ALLPORT Space Backpack & Matching Lunch Box
Back in the day, every little boy used to dream of being an astronaut. With talk of Mars missions, who knows what the future holds. Have him (or her) go back to school in style after the winter holiday with a space inspired backpack and matching lunch box. They may even feel inspired to reach for the stars!
TENDER LEAF TOYS Play Tool Bench Set
Start that love for tinkering early with this adorable play bench set. This will be perfect tucked away in a romper room or in the little one’s bedroom. Hopefully they won’t be too loud working away, but if they are, it’s all in good fun.
ANTHROPOLOGIE Forest Friends Hooded Robe
After bath time, and the little one is squeaky clean, they will love jumping into their favorite animal. What boys don’t love a shark themed anything? This robe looks incredibly soft and could work with a whole range of age groups.
BAGHERA Rider Ride-On Car
David’s input here, he would simple love to have the adult version of this car. I’m sure the boys would feel the exact same way, but until then they can scoot around the house or neighborhood with this fun ride-on car. It comes in several styles and colors. You can even buy a matching pick for a sister.
LEGO Deep Space Rocket & Launch Control Set
LEGO sets, while fun and interactive, are also perfect for kids to learn imaginative and engineering skills. Even though you may feel compelled to follow the directions to the letter, let them get there in their own way. Who knows, they may even create something better than you ever imagined.
The Dangerous Book for Boys by Conn & Hal Iggulden
I almost think of this book as a walking Boy Scouts primer. Inside, you’ll find all of lessons and tips a little boy could use to discover the world. I’m sure there’s information that even adults would find interesting too.
Tis the season for gift guides, but sadly it’s starting to come to a close. I only have a handful left for you, including a very last minute, last minute gift guide. Afterwards, the festivities will shift to prep you for New Years Eve and sharing some very exciting life updates! Stay tuned for more!
Love from NYC,
Katie
