Auld Lang Syne
Dress (also) || Heels ($50 off with BAKATIE) || Clutch || Earrings || Bracelet
Can you believe that Christmas is already over? Although I’ll be spending the rest of this week relaxing in Vermont, I have New Years Eve on my mind. It’s the time to bring out your favorite combination of silver and gold to ring in with Auld Lang Syne.
Actually, I’ll be back in St. Pete for New Years Eve with family and friends downtown. Not needing to worry about frigid temperatures and a snowy night, I have the luxury of wearing a fun and festive dress for a night to remember. This dress from Lilly Pulitzer instantly struck a chord with me. I feel like I haven’t shopped with Lilly in the longest time. It just never fully seemed appropriate in Manhattan, even though I lived a few blocks away from the Flagship store.
This little cocktail dress, with metallic gold fabrics and details, seemed like the perfect compromise. I can wear it on trips to Florida one week and wear it on an Upper East Side out the next. The fabric is even prettier in person! When the sunlight catches it just right, you see a print that I think was purely inspired by the night’s fireworks.
For a dress that is filled with metallic golds, I decided to go with all black accessories. This velvet bow clutch, from Talbots, has been my go to during the holiday season. It fits all of my must-haves on a night out and even comes with a strap in case I want to go hands free. Slipping into a pair of black Sarah Flint heels will guarantee that I’m comfortable for a night full of dancing and celebrating. In fact, you can get $50 off your first pair by using the code BAKATIE50!
Finally, as we’re starting to wind down on 2019, I have a few more blog posts lined up for you. I’ll be sharing some more NYE outfit inspiration, my stay at the TWA Hotel, and end the year with a little surprise. Don’t forget to stop by to see all of the fun!
Love from NYC,
Katie
