Boho Dress for Fall
Dress (also) || Boots || Handbag || Earrings || Watch || Bracelet
We’re already well into November because October flew by in the blink of an eye. Alas, this is also the last month of fall and I’m trying to milk it for all it’s worth. I know some people are ready to set up their Christmas tree practically as soon as the last trick-or-treater leaves. I like to give Thanksgiving it’s time to shine. You won’t be seeing too much Christmas content until after the beginning of December. Although, I do have some holiday posts scheduled along the way… like tomorrow.
Until then, I want to dress for the season. I’m clutching on to warm colors, paisley prints, and cozy fabrics for the fall. It’s also the perfect opportunity to pair of tall boots with the knee-length dresses you already have in your closet. Originally, I shared my new suede boots for the season with a fun tweed dress, linked here. Although I wasn’t sure about them at first, I notice myself constantly reaching for them. They are shockingly comfortable and I’ve walked the miles in NYC to prove it.
They also completely change the look of whatever you choose to wear them with. Previous to these boots, I would instantly gravitate towards a pair of ballet flats or coordinating pointed toe heels. They are both safe choices and extremely versatile. Now, that I have a heeled boots in my arsenal, I get a chic third option.
This whole shoe thing really comes down to the two sides of my personality and style. On the one hand, I love classic pieces and secretly want to raid the closet of all the waspy Upper East Side women I see everyday. The other side of me is secretly a hippie and likes to add at least one piece of bohemian flair to an outfit. I bet you can guess which side of me won with this boho-inspired dress. On different note, cheers to twinning with one of my favorites, Jessica Sturdy!
No matter your style or mood, dressing for the fall can be such a relief. Let’s think about it. Summer and winter can both be hard to dress for. Simply being comfortable and surviving the temperatures is key. For my own mental well-being, I love having a season that gives me options.
Love from NYC,
Katie
