Sweater || Skirt || Heels || Handbag (c/o)
I could use today to talk all about this perfect fall, Thanksgiving day look, but I have to start with something so much more important to discuss. Election Day is tomorrow and, no matter what side of the aisle you see yourself, it’s more important than ever to get out and vote! I don’t want to preach something that you’ve probably already heard a thousand times. There’s a lot at stack this year, but I still hear people say that going out to vote is too inconvenient. Tomorrow will be my first time voting at the polls, in Florida I was able to use the mail-in ballot, and I will be at the polls bright and early when they open at 6 am. Grab your friends, your parents, or your significant other and head to the polls together! Don’t find an excuse, find a way!
Okay, now that I gave you that quick PSA, I do want to share this little outfit that I think will be just perfect for Thanksgiving. Our first plans as the Kennedy family are still in the works, but whatever we choose to do, I know it’s going to be memorable. This midi skirt from Nordstrom’s 1901 line is the softest sweater material and perfect for any fall, family gathering. The best thing about this skirt, though, is probably the fact that it (and it’s black twin) is currently 40% off. It’s so thick and versatile, I’ll be able to wear it all through the winter months and stay pretty warm.
Grey and navy are a match made in heaven and I decided to pair my go-to J. Crew Factory navy sweater to prove it. I was afraid the head to toe sweater look would be too much, but it’s exactly what you need on a cool Fall day. For a pop of color, I decided to add my new Dooney & Bourke crossbody bag. The gorgeous, bright red color makes such a statement.
On one last note, how gorgeous is the Fall foliage this year? I was so afraid that I had missed out and gone straight to Winter this year, but this past week has been absolutely gorgeous and the leaves near our apartment in the park are full ablaze. These yellow stunners are just on 5th Avenue, but I feel like I’m in some sort of Fall Wonderland. I’m going to hold on to this for as long as I can because Fall in NYC absolutely lives up to all of the hype. What is your favorite part of Fall?
Love from NYC,
Katie
