What’s On My Christmas List
Dress (also) || Heels || Clutch || Earrings
Am I the only one who gets harder to shop for each year? It’s the same story… My parents, my mom in particular, asks me what I want for Christmas and I usually don’t have a straight answer for at least a few weeks. I’m at the age where, if I want something, I tend to just buy it myself. Living in Manhattan has also made me live a little more minimalistic, since space is such a commodity. Still, I tend to muster up a handful of items that I would appreciate seeing under the Christmas tree, although they are never required. Here’s a quick look at what’s on my (and our) Christmas list.
TOCCA Stella Perfume
A few years ago, after finding at a boutique in Tallahassee, this became my signature scent. With notes of Italian blood orange and freesias, it’s a fragrance that is bright and refreshing, without being over-powering. Between either Christmas or my birthday, I need a new bottle at least once a year.
KAANAS Basket Weave Loafers
This is the one actual item that I truly asked for just myself. Since I missed out on buying a pair of Carrie Forbes sandals in the summer, I’m trying to redeem myself with a pair of beachy loafers. If I can’t actually be on a tropical island, at least I can dress the part. Hey Santa, these are on major MAJOR sale too!
DJI Mavic Mini Quadcopter
This is a gift for both David and I, but mostly David. After a few years of drooling over beautiful fly over shots from our favorite bloggers and YouTubers, we’ve been wanting to officially take the plunge and buy a drone of our own. This teeny-tiny pick is small enough so you don’t have to worry about local flying clearances. Just find an open space and get ready to fly.
SMEG Espresso Machine
I don’t even think I’ve been this good this past year. We have the SMEG toaster, in the same beautiful pastel blue, and love the look it gives to our kitchen. Seriously, all of their products have add perfect dose of 50’s inspiration. Since David and I are both huge coffee enthusiasts, and daydream of drinking espresso in Rome, this would be a great device to help get our morning buzz.
To older you get, the more you realize how little the holidays are actually about gifts and presents. At the end of the day, spending time with both our families is what we want more than anything. Cheers to you and yours having a magical holiday season!
Love from NYC,
Katie
