My Favorite Fall Skirt is Back!

I realized recently that I very rarely reshare past outfits. I think it’s because I have a slight complex of sharing stale or irrelevant material. That’s pretty odd considering the bonus of going for classic pieces is that they never go out of style. Since life has gotten pretty crazy for the Kennedy family (I’ll explain more soon), I’ve decided to go back and recycle one of my favorite outfits from last year. On another note, look how long my hair was!
I originally posted this sweater midi skirt from Nordstrom last November, linked here. It was one of my favorite looks from last fall and I think it was a real turning point for me. Moving from Florida to NYC, I had to get a new sense of what my own personal style was. That’s especially true in the fall and winter. Even simply learning how to dress for colder weather was a new hurdle for me. My FL uniform of sundresses and sandals couldn’t cut it, but I didn’t want to lose myself in the process.
I was so excited to see that Nordstrom brought back the sweater skirt for a second round and new colors! I love both the navy and burgundy options. This skirt really sparked my midi skirt obsession, but can you really blame me? I find them to be so flattering, especially this one. The pleated design and button details give the piece dimension and a ladylike feel.
I styled this skirt with simple elements like a basic navy sweater and matching pumps, but the sky is the limit. Because of the material, you’ll be able to wear this skirt deep into the coldest months of winter. Swap the pumps for suede knee-high boots and another base layer up top to make yourself cozy and warm.
I think the best part about this skirt is that it’s on major sale right now. All three color are 40% off right now, making it under $60. While that might sound a little steep, take comfort in the fact that you’re buying a great classic item. It will keep you warm and looking elegant for seasons to come. Trust me, I’m proof that you’ll love this skirt year after year.
Love from NYC,
Katie
