2018 was truly such an amazing year! From the big stone keystone events, to the smallest details, each memory is something I will always hold on to. For those of you who started 2018 with me, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your commitment and support. If you’ve joined Orange to Apple along the way, I can’t wait to start 2019 with you. Here’s a little bit of what you missed from the year…
January
I was named Teacher of the Year for my elementary school. I think it’s one of the highest honors I will ever receive!
February
I went to my first ever blogging luncheon and got to network with some amazing ladies from the Tampa Bay area.
March
David and I geeked out at the Star Wars costume exhibit at the Museum of Fine Arts in St. Pete.
April
We traveled up to Vermont for David to be inducted into the VT Sports Hall of Fame. I’m still over the moon proud of him.
May
I returned home for my NYC themed Bridal shower at work, hosted by the most amazing co-workers I could ever ask for.
June
My best girl friends and I hopped down to Palm Beach for a lovely Bachelorette weekend in the sun! David and I also started hunting for our NYC apartment.
July
Let’s see… David and I finally said I do with 100 of our family and closest friends. That was followed by an European honeymoon to explore Lake Como, Rome, and Stockholm.
August
We said farewell to our beloved St. Pete to begin a new chapter in New York AND I earned my Master’s in Reading Education from the University of South Florida.
September
I started a new teaching job at a dream of a school and worked with Talbots on several sponsored posts.
October
David and I explored Rhode Island for a wedding weekend and hosted my parents for their first visit to our new city. I also attended my first blogger event as a New Yorker with Erin Condren.
November
I fell in love with New York in the fall and the changing leaves. I also went to a very special holiday event hosted by Talbots.
December
Finally, I rounded out the year by going home for the first time since the move to celebrate the holidays with my family and the Florida sunshine.
With the start of 2019 just one day away, it’s hard to imagine coming close to topping 2018, but somehow I know we can get there.
Love from NYC,
Katie
